Artist's Description
The inspiration for this piece came originally from a dream I had. I was in a museum, and I saw a glass case featuring the skull of what at first appeared to be a horse, but then I realized it was a unicorn, the horn was missing but there was a luminescent base still visible. I wanted to shout to the disinterested spectators, now do you believe?
In his book, “The Last Unicorn”, Peter S. Beagle describes that men could see a unicorn, and if they didn’t believe in magic, they would only see a white horse. I decided to leave the horn on the verge of appearing, depending upon the viewer’s own belief.
